A retaining wall is a structure that holds back soil or rock from a building, structure or area. Retaining walls prevent downslope movement or erosion and provide support for vertical or near-vertical grade changes. Retaining walls can most often be built up to four feet without the use of reinforcing geotextiles (geogrid), however landscape fabric is recommended for every job.  See installation guidelines for more details.

Allan Block:

A hollow wall system intended to allow drainage through and behind the wall.  Can build straight and curved walls as well as steps.  Each block weighs approximately 75 lbs.  This product cannot be used as pillars, however, there are additional products within the Allan Block family that can be used for pillars. Each course of block lays on top of the preceding layer and runs up to the lip of the block below.

Versa-Lok:

A solid block system that is pinned together with specially fabricated nylon pins.  These blocks come both tumbled (weathered) and standard and can be used for straight and curved walls as well as for stairs, pillars and freestanding walls.  A versatile block weighing approximately 80 lbs.

Rio Block:

A solid block system that offers multiple heights and lengths for a random or mosaic pattern.  An inventive and versatile wall system, the Rio Block offers built in corner pieces for convenience and cost savings. This wall system can be used to construct straight, curved and freestanding walls.  Steps and pillars are also an option, but a specialized block needs to be ordered. 

Big Block:

Our Big Block products are made in our Mt. Uniacke facility as we are a certified manufacturer. These large blocks are great for large walls in commercial or residential areas. With several design and installation options, this block shows its versatility.

Block Dimensions:
 4" H x 8" W x 16" L

Pillar Block:

 These block are specially designed to create pillars. They are a solid block that is tumbled to give it an aged look.  These can be used to make pillars of various heights and widths.  The most common width, however, is 24" x 24".
